St Albans Trapeze & Aerial Arts is St Albans' first aerial community. Our space at the Yoga Hall was first the brainchild of aerial performer Gaynor Godiva, who first rigged trapezes to the ceiling of this space back in 2004. After she moved out of the area, a group of keen circus enthusiasts kept meeting on a regular basis to train and hone our skills. Fast forward several years - and following numerous qualifications and courses taken between us in circus arts, anatomy, rigging, health and safety and more - we started offering group classes to children, teenagers and adults in St Albans. While we may have started out just with static trapeze, we also offer classes in aerial silks and aerial sling, and often run workshops for aerial straps, aerial hoop and acrobalance. We expanded to a new venue in Harpenden in 2017, where we now teach most of our children's classes, host birthday parties, and run aerial sling classes.
