Who We Are

St Albans Cycle Hub runs and maintains 4 different cycle tracks at its location: The Leisure track is a gravel track suitable for all levels of rider and fitness. The Cyclocross track is designed for the mountain bikers, an off-road dirt track with some challenging terrain and features. The Dirt Jump track is designed for those that like to get some airtime! The Pump track is a smooth-surface circuit ideal for developing technique and building fitness. We also run maintenance workshops and riding courses for all levels.

Who is it for?

The St Albans Cycle Hub is for the cyclists - the seasoned cyclist, the new cyclist and those that want to learn! Our tracks are free to use, although it is possible to hire them out for events as well. We are on hand to provide assistance and guidance but there is a track for every level of rider. Our maintenance workshops include general bike maintenance as well as more focused workshops such as gears. Our riding courses include learning to ride, and jump safety courses too. And everyone is welcome in the cafe!

Need to Know

St Albans Cycle Hub is a not-for-profit organisation, formed in 2022, here for the diverse community of Cottonmill, as well as the wider cycling community. The Cycle Hub aims to provide a multitude of services ranging from bike repairs/servicing to teaching/supporting adults and children, of all abilities, to ride and use roads safely. We now also manage the fully accessible Cottonmill Community Centre, with the aim of providing a safe inclusive place for all the local community to meet in, network and grow local activities, building hire use, supporting users, and keeping users safe and happy.
