Who We Are
Singing Mamas is a national community singing movement, set up to boost maternal wellbeing and mental health through the joy of communal singing. In St Albans the group is led by Siew-Lee, a trained Singing Mamas Community Leader, who runs a relaxed weekly singing circle at St Paul's Church, Blandford Road. There's no sheet music and no experience needed – you'll learn uplifting, soothing songs together by ear while any children play in the middle of the circle, before settling in for tea, cake and a chat.
Who is it for?
This singing group is for women, mums and mums-to-be in St Albans looking to unwind, recharge and connect with others – whether you're pregnant, a new mum, or simply want some calm, sociable 'me time'. You don't need to bring children, but babies, toddlers and young children are warmly welcome (and free) if you do. All voices and abilities welcome, no auditions or performance involved.
Need to Know
Sessions run every Monday 10:00–11:30am at St Paul's Church, Blandford Road, St Albans, AL1 4JP (Upper Hall), through the autumn term (7 September–21 December, including half term). Tea, cake and a chat are included after every session.
