In each class you would expect to practise punching, kicking, and blocking techniques as well as more complex fighting sets/ drills and formal exercises (known as KATA), which help in preparing the body and mind for self-defence. Gradings: It normally takes 3 to 4 months of continuous training to move up a grading to the next belt.
