Join us for an intimate evening of dinner, art-making and conversation with local artist Mandy Johnson.
Dinner. Art. Conversation.
Join us for an intimate monthly supper series at The Breakfast Club, bringing together local artists, conversation, creativity, and a curated dining experience. Each edition of Art Supper is hosted by a featured artist and designed to offer a relaxed, inspiring alternative to the usual Saturday night out. Alongside the evening event, each edition launches a month-long exhibition of the featured artist's work within the venue, with pieces available to view and purchase during the event and throughout the exhibition period. This month's exhibition runs from 1–30 September, and this month's event is hosted by Mandy Johnson.
What to Expect
A hands-on creative workshop. Conversation with a featured local artist. A curated two-course dinner selected by the artist. A rotating monthly exhibition with artwork available to purchase. No previous art experience is needed — this evening is designed for complete beginners as well as creatively curious guests.
This Month's Workshop: Colour Conversations — A Playful Watercolour Workshop
Colour Conversations is a relaxed, beginner-friendly watercolour workshop led by professional artist Mandy Johnson, known for her love of colour and joyful, expressive work. In this playful workshop, Mandy will introduce you to easy-to-follow watercolour techniques, inviting you to blend, layer and let colours flow freely across the page. It's all about experimenting, enjoying the process and discovering what happens when you let go of perfection. Guided by gentle prompts, you'll create your own abstract artwork inspired by mood, memory or imagination — with plenty of space to explore your own ideas and creative style. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or simply looking for an evening to switch off and reconnect with your creative side, you'll be warmly welcomed.
Guests will leave with: a finished abstract watercolour artwork that's uniquely yours, new watercolour techniques to take away with you, a relaxed and playful creative experience, and a little more confidence in your own creativity. No experience needed — just come ready to experiment, unwind and enjoy getting creative.
